Delhi: A week after saying goodbye to Test cricket, veteran batsman of the Indian team Rohit Sharma met Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on his official residence ‘Varsha’. CM appreciated Rohit’s achievements in Test cricket and his invaluable contribution in Indian cricket.
Chief Minister Fadnavis, while sharing pictures of this meeting on social media, congratulated Rohit Sharma for the achievements of his cricket career.
Fadnavis wrote in his post, “Indian cricketer Rohit Sharma was happy to meet his official residence ‘Varsha’. I wished him a happy retirement from Test cricket and wished a lot of success for his future journey.”
Significantly, 38 -year -old Rohit Sharma recently shocked the cricket world, announcing his retirement from Test cricket, which ended his 14 -year long and brilliant career. His decision came before the selection of the upcoming Test series of five matches against England.
