Akash Deep said, “He got a chance to play under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma and he considers it his luck. He told that Rohit Bhai handled things in a very simple manner as captain. Because of this he never felt that his international career had just started.”
Akash Deep further said that “When he used to play in domestic cricket and IPL, he felt that there would be a lot of challenges in international cricket. But the way Rohit bhai kept things simple, it helped him a lot and the players felt comfortable.”

Talking about Indian team’s fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah, Akash Deep said, “He talks to Bumrah bhai a lot. Bumrah is a different kind of bowler, whose action and bowling technique are very special. Akash Deep further said that it is difficult to become a bowler like Bumrah, but a lot can be learned from his mentality, thinking, and ability to understand the batsmen. These small things help in how you handle situations, and Bumrah bhai has great knowledge about this.”
