The team had entered the mega auction with a purse of Rs 83 crore but the franchise disappointed the fans. Royal Challengers Bangalore bought Australian fast bowler Josh Hazlewood in the auction for Rs 12.50 crore. Hazlewood is the most expensive player bought by RCB in this auction. Talking about his IPL career, he has taken 35 wickets in 27 matches at an economy of 8.06.
Bengaluru has also bought players like Phil Salt (11.50 crore), Liam Livingstone (8.75 crore), Tim David (3 crore) and Jacob Batchelor (2.60 crore).
RCB bought Bhuvi and Jitesh Sharma
Royal Challengers Bangalore bought fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the mega auction for Rs 10.75 crore. Bhuvi was a part of Sunrisers Hyderabad for the last 10 years. Talking about Bhuvi’s IPL career, he has taken 181 wickets in 176 matches at an economy of 7.56.
The franchise has also shown confidence in young wicketkeeper batsman Jitesh Sharma (11 crore), bowler Rasikh Dar (6 crore), Suyyash Sharma (2.60 crore), Krunal Pandya (5.75 crore) and Devdutt Padikkal (2 crore).
