Delhi: In the 50th match of IPL 2025 played at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, Rajasthan Royals (RR) captain Ryan Parag won the toss and decided to bowl first. However, the batsmen of Mumbai Indians (Mi) proved this decision wrong and scored a huge score of 217 runs in 20 overs, losing just 2 wickets. In response, the Rajasthan Royals team was completely shattered chasing the target. Mumbai bowlers put strong pressure from the beginning, due to which Rajasthan lost half of their wickets in the powerplay and finally lost the match by 100 runs.
First innings game
All the top four batsmen of Mumbai Indians batted brilliantly and scored more than 40 runs and gave the team a strong start.
Wicketkeeper batsman Ryan Ricelton played a fast innings of 61 runs in 38 balls, including 7 fours and 3 sixes. Rohit Sharma also scored 53 runs from 36 balls while playing aggressively.
After this, Suryakumar Yadav and captain Hardik Pandya batted stormy in the final overs and scored an unbeaten 48-48 runs from 23 balls and took the team’s score to 200.
Rajasthan’s bowling faded
No bowler was more effective for Rajasthan Royals. Mahish Toricha got 1 wicket but took 47 runs in 4 overs. Captain Ryan Parag also took 1 wicket but he also had trouble saving runs. Bowlers like Joffra Archer, Fazalhak Farooqui and Akash Madhwal also proved to be very expensive.
Rajasthan turned out of IPL 2025
Rajasthan started very poorly, the team lost their 5 wickets in the first 6 overs powerplay. Openers Yashasvi Jaiswal (13) and Vaibhav Suryavanshi (0) returned to the pavilion in the beginning. After this, Ryan Parag (16), Shimron Hetmyer (0) and Nitish Rana (9) could not form any partnership. For Rajasthan, the most (30) run bowler Jofra Archer created. But the position of the team became so bad that in 13.1 overs, the entire team was reduced to 104 runs.
