RR vs Pbks: Where did RR against Pbks, know the turning point of the match

The 59th match of IPL 2025 played on May 18 at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur was a spell by Harpreet Brar. When Rajasthan’s team started chasing the target of 220 runs by Punjab Kings, RR started a bang. Vaibhav Suryavanshi (40 runs off 15 balls) and Yashaswi Jaiswal (50) scored 89/1 in Powerplay thanks to aggressive batting. However, in the fifth and ninth over, when Harpreet Brar showed both of them the path of the pavilion, the match changed from here.

Brar ended his banging innings by getting Suryavanshi caught by Javier Bartlet on the fourth ball of the fifth over. Shortly after, Brar dismissed Jaiswal in his next over. These consecutive wickets put pressure on the middle order of Rajasthan. Brar’s three wickets, including Parag’s wicket, made RR’s path of victory even more difficult.

Marco Yanson, Ajmatullah and Arshadeep along with Brar bowled disciplined in the middle overs, which made Rajasthan away from victory. Sanju Samson’s team could score 209/7 and was left behind by 10 runs.

Talking about the match, Punjab Kings batted first and scored a huge score of 219 runs at the loss of 5 wickets in the prescribed 20 overs. Nehal Vadhera played an attractive innings of 70 runs, while Shashank Singh once again won his talent. He scored an unbeaten 59 runs. Captain Shreyas Iyer contributed 30 runs. Prabhasimran Singh 21 and Ajmatullah 21* could score runs.

Tushar Deshpande managed to take the most 2 wickets from Rajasthan. When RR came to chase the target, openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Suryavanshi made a bang. However, only Dhruv Jurlel (53) continued the fight after the two were dismissed, which were dismissed in the final over. For Punjab, Harpreet Brar took three wickets, while Marco Yanson and Ajmatullah Umarzai managed to take 2-2 wickets.
