Delhi: Former Indian cricketer Voorakery Venkata Raman (WV Raman) has created a stir by giving a suggestion on the social media platform X (earlier Twitter). He has advised the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to send the great player Sachin Tendulkar to Australia as a batting consultant in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Raman believes that the Indian team can benefit from Tendulkar’s expertise.
AUS vs PAK: Babar is on the verge of breaking the big record of Kohli and Rohit in T20I cricket.
Raman wrote in his post, “If Sachin Tendulkar is added to Team India for the preparation of Border-Gavaskar Trophy, then the team can benefit from it. There is a lot of time between the first and second test. Nowadays, it has become a common thing to add consultants to the team. Should this not be considered?”
The Test series between India and Australia is starting from 22nd November in Perth. Both the teams have announced their respective teams for the series. After the recent 3-0 defeat in the home series against New Zealand, Team India is in danger of being out of the race for the final of the ICC World Test Championship. To directly reach the finals, India will have to win this series 4-0, otherwise the team will have to depend on the results of other teams.
Rohit and Kohli’s form became a matter of concern
The biggest concern of the Indian team is the test form of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. This year, Virat has scored only 192 runs in 10 innings of 5 Test matches, which includes the series against Bangladesh and New Zealand. At the same time, Rohit has scored 588 runs in 11 Test matches at an average of 29.40, while Kohli has scored only 250 runs in 6 Tests at an average of 22.72.
