‘Sachin Tendulkar’s son Arjun Tendulkar is facing ruin’

Delhi: Arjun Tendulkar, who is the son of Indian cricket great player Sachin Tendulkar, has not been able to leave his mark in the IPL yet. After taking three wickets in four matches for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2023, Arjun played only one match in IPL 2024 and he could not take any wicket in that match. Yograj Singh, father of former Indian cricketer and Yuvraj Singh, has given a statement about Arjun Tendulkar. He said that if Arjun comes to him, he can make him the world’s largest batsman in six months. Yograj said, “Arjun has tremendous potential in batting, but why is he engaged in bowling? He should focus on batting, his talent is being ruined.” Yograj also told that Arjun had come to him to train for 12 days, and during that time he also hit a century in the Ranji Trophy.

Arjun’s batting capacity

Yograj Singh also told that he wanted to see Arjun as a batting all -rounder. He said, “He is a great batter, but why has he been implicated in bowling? He should focus on batting.” According to Yograj, to give the right direction to Arjun’s talent, it was necessary to focus on batting by removing him from bowling.

Yograj’s opinion on Arjun’s career

Yograj Singh also said that after Arjun’s Ranji Trophy and after returning to the IPL, some people were afraid that his name may affect Arjun’s image by joining Yograj. Yograj said, “People were afraid that if Arjun’s name would be connected to me, it will affect his career.” He also told that he had told Yuvraj to leave Arjun with him for a year and then see what happens.

Arjun’s IPL career

Arjun Tendulkar made his IPL debut in 2023 and has played five matches so far, in which he has taken only three wickets. However, Arjun has been purchased back by Mumbai Indians at a base price of Rs 30 lakh in the mega auction of IPL 2025.
