Delhi: Indian fast bowler Jaspreet Bumrah’s return to competitive cricket may take some time. Bumrah has yet to bowl completely at the BCCI’s Center of Excellence (CO). Along with this, the return of his fellow fast bowler Akash Deep has also been delayed by seven days.
Bumrah’s recovery may be done by April
According to the Times of India report, taking more load during his bowling, despite Bumrah fit, can pose a threat of stress on his back. Bumrah recently suffered a lower back injury during the fifth Test match against Australia in Sydney, and since then he has not been able to play in competitive cricket.
According to the BCCI medical team, Bumrah’s injury is serious, and they are recovering very carefully. The team hopes that Bumrah can return by fit by mid -April. However, team management and selector will not depend on Bumrah in the Test series against England.

Akash lamp injury and recovery
Akash Deep is also recovering from his back injury. He has not been able to participate in any competitive cricket since the India-Australia Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Their fitness test is to be held soon, and they hope that they will return by 10 April.

The recovery of Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) fast bowler Mayank Yadav is also running like Akash Deep and Bumrah. They are also working on their fitness in Coe, and finally the BCCI medical team will decide to return like Bumrah and Akash Deep. Coe’s bowling coaches will give final approval to their fitness, but the medical team will decide whether they are fully fit for a high-demonstration game.
