In the fourth Test match played against England at Old Trafford, star wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant suffered a serious leg, due to which he had to retire in the middle of his innings. Amid the doubts arising about Pant’s position and his playing in the rest of the Test matches, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) owner Sanjeev Goenka wrote a soulful message for Pant on X.

Pant, scoring 37 runs off 48 balls, was seen in the rhythm during a 72 -run partnership with Sai Sudarshan. Meanwhile, in the 68th over, Chris Woakes tried to reverse the ball, hit the inner side of the bat and went to his right leg. However, England took a review for LBW, but the ball first hit the bat.

Meanwhile, Pant was seen in great pain. He could not stand properly on his leg. Despite the team’s physio giving the first-ed on the field, Pant was taken out of a stretcher by a bugler ambulance. Subsequently, the owner of LSG wrote a message for Pant.

Sanjeev Goenka wrote on X, “Rishabh, I wish you to get well soon. You are a warrior, and we know that, you will return even stronger.”

Rishabh was in a lot of pain- Sai Sudarshan

Significantly, after a terrible car accident and long recovery in 2022, Pant returned to international cricket. Sudarshan, who played an important partnership with Pant, gave information about Pant’s injury.

Sudarshan said in the interview after the match, “We could not see him playing for a long time in this match. It is clear that he was in a lot of pain, so he has gone for a scan. We hope that, he will get clear information about his injury overnight.”

“It’s very unfortunate because, he was batting brilliantly and looked in a good rhythm. If he could not get into the match further, we will surely have a lack of an important batsman, and it could affect the team’s batting.
