Sanju Samson was injured again, now not out of IPL: fans’ tension increased.

Sanju Samson retired in the match played between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Delhi Capitals (DC) at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Wednesday, April 16. During the Royals’ run-day, Samson looked a bit uncomfortable in the last over of Powerplay, after which the physiotherapist had to come on the field. After this, he spent some time with Sanju but still he did not recover and he had to return from the field.

On the third ball of the sixth over, Samson tried to slash Vipperz Corporation, but he missed out on playing that shot. Subsequently, the Replay showed that the captains were groaning in pain after playing the shot. Physio examined the left side of Samson’s ribs. The game had to be stopped for a long time due to this and during the break, Samson also took a tablet.

Samson started batting again, but only after another ball he decided to go out of the field. He retired with the help of two fours and three sixes off 19 balls. After he left, Ryan came to bat.

Ryan Parag may get captaincy again

In the first three matches of IPL 2025 due to thumb injury, Sanju Samson played as a specialist batsman, while Ryan Parag led the team. The next match of Royals will be held by Rishabh Pant’s Lucknow Super Giants at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Saturday, 19 April. If Samson does not play, then once again Ryan can be seen leading the pollen team.

In the IPL 2025, in seven matches, Samson has scored 224 runs with an average of 37.33 and a strike-card of 143.58, his highest score is 66 runs, which he scored against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
