Delhi: After Jasprit Bumrah’s brilliant bowling in the Border Gavaskar Trophy, cricket experts and veteran players from all over the world are praising him. Bumrah’s bowling has especially impressed the Australian cricketers. Former Australian captain Ricky Ponting described Bumrah as the best bowler of today’s time. At the same time, now former Australian batsman Michael Clarke has called Bumrah the best fast bowler in all three formats.

Michael Clarke praised

Michael Clarke praised Bumrah profusely in ESPN’s ‘Around the Wicket’ show. He said, “When the series ended, I was thinking about Bumrah’s performance. I think he is the best fast bowler ever in all three formats. I have seen many great fast bowlers, like Curtly Ambrose and Glenn McGrath, who could not play T20 cricket. But among the players who play in all three formats, Bumrah’s performance is the best. He bowls brilliantly in any situation, that’s what makes him great.”

Performance of other bowlers of India

India’s other fast bowler Mohammad Siraj also performed well in this series. He took 20 wickets at an average of 31.15, which was fantastic. At the same time, Prasidh Krishna took 6 wickets in Sydney indicating that he could have been included earlier in the series. But Bumrah took the maximum of 32 wickets in this series and his average during this period was 13.35.

Mohammed Shami’s absence

However, India clearly felt the absence of Mohammed Shami in this series. If Shami had been in the team, India’s chances of winning would have been higher.
