Report exposed PCB pole
According to the report, the board spent money without rules in many places. During the international matches, Rs 6.33 crore was spent on the food of policemen engaged in security.
Apart from this, 3 coaches of the under-16 team were incorrectly appointed at the High Performance Center in Karachi. A total of Rs 54 lakh was spent on his salary. The report also said that the contract related to the ticket without open competition.
Doubt has also been raised about match fixing. Match officials were paid more than Rs 39 lakh, which is more than the fixed rule.
Questions have also been raised about the recruitment of media directors in the report. It was said that this appointment was made in a single day without any procedure. In which everything from advertising to joining was done in 24 hours. 9 lakh rupees are being spent every month on this post.
It was also informed in the report that between February and June 2024, the PCB president was paid an unauthorized payment of Rs 41.7 lakh in the name of utility, housing and diesel.
In the last few years, there have been continuous changes in PCB. Ramiz Raja was removed from the post of president in December 2022. Then Najam Sethi and Zaka Ashraf took the position in turn. Now at present, Mohsin Naqvi is in this post.
It has also been said in the audit report that Rs 1.09 crore was spent on diesel of bulletproof vehicles without bidding process.
All these things have once again raised big questions on the working style of PCB.
