Delhi: There are reports about Pakistan’s fast bowler Shaheen Afridi that instead of playing Test cricket for Pakistan, he can be seen playing in the 11th season of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). According to reports, BPL is being organized at the same time when Pakistan has to play four important test matches.

According to reports, Shaheen has signed a deal with BPL team Fortune Barishal. Bangladeshi media has also confirmed this agreement. However, Shaheen’s playing in BPL will depend on the NOC given by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). Currently, PCB has given NOC to Shaheen till January 15, 2025.
Let us tell you that Fortune Barishal, which is the defending champion of BPL, is already adorned with players like Kyle Myers, David Malan, Mohammad Nabi, Mushfiqur Rahim and Tamim Iqbal. With the addition of Shaheen, the strength of this team will further increase.
Afridi’s decision to play in BPL raises questions about his commitment to play Test cricket for Pakistan. During the organization of BPL, Pakistan has to play two tests against South Africa and two tests against West Indies. However, Shaheen’s name is not among the five fast bowlers selected for the South Africa series. This is the reason why PCB has currently given him NOC till January 15, but the possibility of extending it further is also being expressed.
