Was out of the team due to poor form
Earlier, Shefali did not get a place in both the T20 and ODI series against West Indies. The reason for this was his poor form. In the ODI series played against New Zealand in October, he scored only 56 runs in three matches. Apart from this, his performance in the T20 World Cup was also disappointing.
But, now Shefali has announced her comeback through this innings. His batting style is aggressive, and such players just need one big innings to get back into rhythm. This innings could prove to be the same for Shefali. Now it remains to be seen how successful his performance is in attracting the attention of the selectors.
