Delhi: Former Pakistan team fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar is not called ‘Rawalpindi Express’ for no reason. In the 2003 World Cup, he bowled the fastest ball in cricket history, whose speed was 161.3 km per hour. This record has stood for more than two decades, and till date no bowler has been able to break it. Now Shoaib Akhtar himself has predicted how and when his record can be broken.

During a conversation on a YouTube channel, Akhtar said that if he gets a chance, he can prepare such players who can break this record in just 6 months of training. He said, “I believe that a speed of 100 miles per hour can be achieved. If I pick players from all over the world, they will break my record within a few months. “If I gather 2-3 thousand children, I promise that one among them will break this record.”

Claim to create an army of fast bowlers

Akhtar further said, “I can raise an army of fast bowlers myself. I can prepare bowlers who bowl at speeds of 140, 145 and 150 km per hour. My dream is that someone breaks my record. It is not impossible. If I had paid more attention to my training, I could have bowled the ball at a speed of 165 kmph.”

It is noteworthy that Shoaib Akhtar had bowled the ball at a speed of 161.3 km per hour against England in the 2003 World Cup. After him in this list, the names of Australia’s Shaun Tait and Brett Lee are there, who bowled at a speed of 161.1 km per hour.
