Shock to Jaiswal and Kohli
The Indian team is currently on Australia tour, where the first match of the five-match Test series was played in Perth. Team India has won this match by 295 runs. During this, Yashasvi Jaiswal scored a brilliant 161 runs, while Virat Kohli played an unbeaten inning of 100 runs. However, despite this performance, the ranking of both the players has declined. Jaiswal is now in fourth place with 825 rating points, where he has lost two places. Whereas Virat Kohli has now reached 14th position with 689 rating points. Meanwhile, England’s new star Harry Brook has gained 2 points and has moved from fourth to second place in the rankings.
Only two Indian batsmen in top 10
Rishabh Pant’s performance in the Perth Test was not very special. He scored 37 runs in the first innings and only 1 run in the second innings. Despite this, there was no major impact on his ranking. Pant is currently at sixth position with 736 rating points. At present, Pant and Jaiswal are the only two Indian batsmen in the top 10.
Bumrah’s dominance in bowling continues
Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah remains at the first position in the ranking of Test bowlers. He has 883 rating points. Apart from this, Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja are also present in the top 10. Bumrah took eight wickets in the first match against Australia. Ashwin got rest in this match, but he still remains in fourth place. Jadeja has gained one place and has now reached sixth position, he has 794 points.
