Delhi: Indian vice-captain Shubman Gill, while retaining his magnificent form, scored a tremendous century in the third and last ODI against England. Playing at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Gill completed his century in 95 balls. This is the same ground where he has also scored centuries in Test and T20.
Gill’s innings was very important for India, especially when Rohit Sharma was dismissed in the second over of the innings. After this, Gill, along with Virat Kohli (52), took over the innings and put pressure on the bowlers of England. Even after Kohli was dismissed, Gill continued aggressive batting and brought the Indian innings to a strong position. He scored 112 runs in 102 balls, including 14 fours and 3 sixes.
