South Africa beat Australia by 1 run to reach the final; now Pakistan awaits.

Delhi: The second semi -final match of the World Championship of Legends 2025 was played in Birmingham on Thursday, which took place between South Africa Champions and Australia Champions, in which the African team won by one run in a very exciting manner and made it to the finals.

South African batsmen kept a strong score

After winning the toss, South Africa Champions came out to bat first and scored 186 runs at the loss of 8 wickets in the prescribed 20 overs. For the team, wicketkeeper batsman Morne Van Vik played the biggest innings while batting on the third order. He hit 76 runs in just 35 balls at a strike rate of 217.14. Apart from him, John John Smats also played an important role and played a half -century innings of 57 runs in 41 balls. However, the rest of the batsmen were seen struggling in front of the Australian bowlers.

Christian’s combative innings could not win

Chasing the target, the Australia Champions team also performed strongly, but it could only score 185 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs and lost the match by one run. For the team, Daniel Christian batted brilliantly on the fifth order and scored an unbeaten 49 in 29 balls, but could not win. Opener Chris Lynn contributed 35 in 20 balls and Der Short contributed 33 runs in 29 balls.

Wayne Parnell and Hardas Wilzone took two wickets each from South Africa Champions, while Imran Tahir and Duen Olivir had one success each. Parnell bowled strongly in the final overs and turned the match in favor of Africa, due to which he was chosen as ‘Player of the Match’.

Now Pakistan collided in the final

With this victory, South Africa Champions have confirmed their place in the finals, where they will face Pakistan Champions. This title match will be played on 2 August 2025 in Birmingham, in which the winning team will get a chance to name the trophy.
