Delhi: Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) star opener Abhishek Sharma has made a big statement saying that he wanted to break the connection of defeat when his team had four consecutive defeats in the Indian Premier League (IPL 2025). With this intention, he performed brilliantly and returned SRH on the path of victory. The victory came against Punjab Kings, in which the Hyderabad team won the match by 8 wickets, chasing the second largest run in the history of IPL.

Abhishek scored 141 runs in just 55 balls and helped SRH to achieve a huge target of 245/6 with 9 balls remaining. After this innings of the left -handed opener, captain Pat Cummins praised his batting fiercely.

The SRH captain said, “Yes, I am a big fan of Abhi. We talked before the match. We were happy with the practice and form of all, just not clicking things, so we did not decide to change something, just paid attention to what makes us a good player and Abhi showed him.”

On the other hand, Abhishek Sharma celebrated his century in a special way, where after completing the century, he took out a paper from his pocket, on which it was written, “This one is for orange army” – that is, this century is dedicated to the fans of Sunrisers Hyderabad. He showed this paper to everyone on the field. His style went viral on social media and the audience present in the stadium played fierce applause.
