Delhi: Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have suffered a major setback during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The team’s veteran spinner Adam Jumpa has been ruled out of the entire tournament due to injury. Jampa had played only two matches so far this season. SRH launched its campaign against Rajasthan Royals (RR) on 23 March, in which Jampa took 1 wicket for 48 runs in 4 overs.

After this, he also played against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), but could take only one wicket in that match. Jumpa could not get down in any match due to injury and is now completely out of the tournament.

Hyderabad has also announced the replacement of Jampa. The team has replaced Karnataka left -handed batsman Smrit Ravichandran. Ravichandran has played 7 First Class, 10 List A and 6 T20 matches so far, in which he has scored more than 1100 runs in domestic cricket. An RH has signed them for Rs 30 lakh.

Chennai Super Kings also got a big shock

Along with this, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have also suffered a major setback. Team captain Ruturaj Gaikwad has been ruled out of the tournament due to injury. In his place, the team has included 17 -year -old young batsman Ayush Mhatre in the squad.

Mhatre has scored a total of 962 runs in 9 First Class and 7 List A matches in domestic cricket. CSK has also bought them for Rs 30 lakh. Now it will be seen that what these young batsmen leave their performance in the IPL.
