Delhi: ODI tri -series will be played between women cricket teams from India, South Africa and Sri Lanka from April 27. The first match of this tournament will be held between Sri Lanka and India at R Premdasa Stadium in Colombo. India and South Africa had already announced their respective teams. Now host Sri Lanka has also announced its 17 -member squad in which three new faces have got a chance.
All matches of this series will be played at R Premdasa Stadium in Colombo. This series is considered a big opportunity for India to prepare for the World Cup 2025.
Sri Lanka’s captaincy will be given to Chamari Atapattu
The team’s captaincy in the squad released by the Sri Lanka Cricket Board has been handed over to Chamari Atapattu. The team includes three new players; Malki Madara, Devasi Vinang and Piumi Badalge. Apart from this, six major changes have been made from the previous team with New Zealand Tour.
Inoca Ranavira, Hasini Perera and Hansima Karunaratne have returned to the team. At the same time, Emasha Dulani, Sachini Nisanala, Koshi Nuthyanga, Chethana Vimukthi and injured Udishka Prabodhani have been dropped.
