Delhi: The Adelaide Test between India and Australia has started on a strong note. Visiting team captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bat first. However, Kangaroo fast bowler Mitchell Starc dismissed opener Yashasvi Jaiswal on the very first ball of the match and sent him to the pavilion.

With this wicket, Starc has made a big record in his name. He has joined the list of bowlers taking the most wickets on the first ball of a Test match.

The left-arm pacer has dismissed 3 batsmen on the first ball so far in his Test career. These include Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rory Burns and Dimuth Karunaratne. All three batsmen are left handed.

Collins’ special record

Starc has equaled former West Indies fast bowler Pedro Collins in this record. Collins also dismissed the batsman on the first ball thrice in his Test career. The special thing is that Collins did this feat every time against the Hannan government of Bangladesh.
