Delhi: Former English fast bowler Stuart Broad, regarding the upcoming Test series between India and England, described Jaspreet Bumrah as the biggest threat to England. Broad praised Bumrah’s bowling action and compared him to the great bowler of Australia Glenn McGra.
38 -year -old Stuart Broad said, “Bumrah’s bowling is the most balanced in world cricket at the moment, when he runs, it seems that the ball will come at a speed of 70 miles per hour, but in reality it comes at a speed of 90 mph. The same is shocked to the batsmen.”
He further said, “When I faced Shoaib Akhtar, he used to run with full force and throw the ball as fast. In such a situation, the batsman used to get time to be mentally prepared. But, Bumrah’s action is small, controlled and accurate.
According to Broad, Bumrah has the same balance and control that he saw in Glenn McGrah in his career. He said, “Bumrah will be the biggest challenge for England. If he plays five Test matches, he can take a lot of wickets.”
Significantly, the first match of the five matches of India and England will be played in Leeds from 20 June. Team India captain Star opener Shubman Gill will do, while Dhakad wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant will be vice -captain.
