Sunil Gavaskar has given some suggestions about the remaining matches of IPL 2025
IPL 2025 was postponed for a week due to conflict between India and Pakistan on the border, but now when the ceasefire has been announced, the tournament is starting again from 17 May. The first match after the suspension will be played between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore.
However, now Sunil Gavaskar has given some suggestions about the remaining matches of IPL 2025. Former India’s great batsman Sunil Gavaskar has asked not to play sharp music during the matches and escape the cheerleaders.
Sunil Gavaskar said in a conversation with Sports Today, ‘Some matches are left, about 60 games or around it. I think this is 15 or 16 matches. I hope honestly, because whatever has happened and some families have lost their loved ones, I would like that there is no music. DJs in the middle of overs.
Cricket only those families…
He further said, it should not happen. Match should be played. The audience should be allowed to come. There should be a tournament in a balance. There are no dance girls in it, nothing. Only cricket will be a good way to respect the feelings of those families who have lost their loved ones.
Earlier, Sunil Gavaskar supported the BCCI’s decision to stop IPL 2025 in between. He said that there is no place for any kind of sports during the kind of situation in the country. But now that the ceasefire has been announced, I think the tournament will start again.
