Delhi: The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) announced on Thursday that full -sized sculptures of Sunil Gavaskar and senior administrator Sharad Pawar would be installed at the entrance of ‘MCA Sharad Pawar Cricket Museum’ to be built at Wankhede Stadium. This museum is being created with the aim of honoring Mumbai’s cricket heritage and paying tribute to the veterans who contribute to it.
Inauguration will be held in August
This special museum will be inaugurated in the second part of August. MCA said, “Shri Sharad Pawar and cricket legend Sunil Gavaskar’s life -shaped idols will welcome the audience at the entrance of the museum.”
Gavaskar expressed honors

According to MCA, the statue of Gavaskar will be “a symbol of excellence and dedication that will continue to inspire the young cricketers.”
Sharad Pawar will also get respect
NCP (SP) chief Sharad Pawar, who has served in high positions in organizations like MCA, BCCI and ICC, has been named after the museum. This is a way to recognize his long and effective role in his cricket administration.

MCA President Ajit Naik said, “This museum is a true tribute to the veterans of Mumbai cricket and symbolizes the visionary thinking of Shri Sharad Pawar.” He said, “Sunil Gavaskar’s statue will show his great role in the history of Indian cricket and will continue to inspire generations to come.”
