Along with encouraging the much awaited T20 Mumbai League 2025, the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has announced a star-staded line-up of icon players. This line up includes India’s stars Suryakumar Yadav, Shreyas Iyer and Ajinkya Rahane.
One of the major franchise-based domestic T20 tournaments of India, T20 Mumbai League is returning after a six-year gap, the third edition of which will be held from 26 May to 8 June at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
The list of icon players includes Sarfaraz Khan, Shardul Thakur, Prithvi Shaw, Shivam Dubey and Tushar Deshpande. All eight players have represented India at the highest level, reflecting the extraordinary depth of talent in the cricket pipeline of Mumbai.
MCA President Ajinkya Naik made a big statement
MCA President Ajinkya Naik said, “We are happy to present eight icons who have made Mumbai a lot of pride with their performance at the domestic and international level. They represent the spirit, heritage and excellence of Mumbai cricket. Eight franchise teams will participate in T20 Mumbai League: North Mumbai Panthers (Horizon Sports India Private Limited), ARCS Andheri (Arcs Sports and Entertainment Private Limited), Triumph Knights Mumbai North East (Transcon Triumph Knights Private lys), Namo Bandra Blasters (PK Sports Sports Private Limited), Eagle police station strikers (Eagle Infra India Limited) and Akash Tigers Mumbai Western Sub-Arbes (World Star Premier League LLP) as well as two new teams Sobo Mumbai Falcons (Roadways Solutions India Infra Limited) and Mumbai South Central Maratha Royals (Royal Age Sports and Entertainment).
