Delhi: In the last match of Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia, Team India won the toss and decided to bat first. But, India’s start was disappointing. Once again the top order batting of the Indian team was seen struggling. It was expected that Virat and Rishabh Pant would handle the team’s tour but it did not happen. Till lunch, India’s score was 57 runs losing 3 wickets.
The responsibility was on Virat and Rishabh
Virat and Pant did not score much runs in this series, hence this match was important for both the players. Both tried to control the team but Virat lost his wicket on the first ball going out and left the team in the middle. Rishabh along with Jadeja took charge of the innings and started taking the score forward. At one time it seemed that Rishabh would play an amazing innings today but then his bat could not keep up with Boland’s fast ball. Rishabh returned to the pavilion after scoring 40 runs.
Rishabh Pant dismissed for 40 in 98 balls.

India failed in front of Boland
Rishabh took the team to the score of 120 but after the fall of his wicket, the back of the team was broken. Nitish Kumar Reddy, the centurion of the last match, returned to the pavilion without opening the account. Scott Boland was the most successful bowler for Australia, who troubled the Indian batsmen by bowling brilliantly in this innings. Besides, he has also taken 4 wickets so far. In which the names of Jaiswal, Kohli, Pant and Reddy are included.
