Delhi: Former Indian fast bowler Siddharth Kaul has registered his name for the men’s Big Bash League (BBL), while 15 Indian women players have registered for the Women’s League. This information was given by Cricket Australia (CS) on Tuesday.
Kaul has played three ODIs and three T20I matches for India and retired from international cricket in November last year. He is the only Indian male player to register his name in the BBL draft. This draft will be held on Thursday.
On the other hand, England fast bowler James Anderson is also one of the more than 600 international players who have registered for this league. If he was chosen by a team, he will become the oldest player to play BBL at the age of 43.
Women players include Kanika Ahuja, who played in Women’s Premier League (WPL) on behalf of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), who made her debut in T20I for India earlier this year.
The list of 15 Indian women cricketers also includes names like Jemima Rodrigues, Shikha Pandey, Radha Yadav and Yastika Bhatia, who have already played in Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL).
