Delhi: The Indian Women’s Selection Committee has announced the team that will participate in the upcoming senior women’s three-national series against South Africa and Sri Lanka. The tournament will start from 27 April and India faced India in the first match from Sri Lanka R.K. Premdasa will be at the International Cricket Stadium. All other matches of the tournament will also be played in this stadium.
Team captaincy and vice -captaincy
Harmanpreet Kaur will captain the Indian women’s team, while Smriti Mandhana will support the team as vice -captain. India will play the rest of its matches within 9 days. India will face South Africa on 29 April, followed by Sri Lanka and South Africa on May 4 and 7.
New faces join team
This time three new players have joined the Indian team. Kashvi Gautam, N Shri Charni and Shuchi Upadhyay have got a place in the national team for the first time. 21 -year -old Kashvi Gautam set the record for the most wickets with 11 wickets in 9 matches in the WPL 2025 season. At the same time, Mr. Charani played 2 matches for Delhi Capitals, in which he took 4 wickets. Shuchi Upadhyay won the Player of the Tournament of the tournament with 18 wickets in the Senior Women’s ODI Trophy in December last year, while her team also won the trophy by Madhya Pradesh.

Players living out of selection
The BCCI also clarified that Renuka Singh Thakur and Titas Sandu were not available for selection due to injury, while Shafali Verma did not get a place in the team and was out of selection.
