The BCCI made a change in the playing conditions of the IPL and has given an additional 60 minutes to complete the match. However, KKR is unhappy with this rule, as they have suffered the brunt of it and their team is out of the playoff race.

According to the report of Cricbuzz, KKR has written a letter to the BCCI and raised questions about increasing the match duration. IPL COO Hemang Amin told Kolkata Knight Riders CEO Venky Mysore via email, “If these circumstances may be necessary these changes made in the mid -season in the rules, yet more uniformity in the way such changes can be expected.”

KKR said the CEO, “When the IPL was restarted (on May 17), it was clear that the first match of KKR vs RCB on 17 May was a big risk of interrupting due to rain in Bangalore. The forecast was not only in front of everyone. Not only the game washed, but now the additional 120 minutes being implemented, also lost the opportunity to play at least 5 overs.”

The Kolkata Knight Riders were out of the playoff race due to the cancellation of the match due to rain. Currently, he is ranked sixth in 13 matches with 12 points and he can reach a maximum of 14 points. This season, two of his matches have been canceled due to rain. Mysore further said, “The possibility of KKR reaching the playoffs due to rain is over. Such ad hoc decisions and inconsistency in implementing them is not appropriate for this level tournament. I am sure you also understand why we are sad.”
