Delhi: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni reacted to the Indian Premier League (IPL) after being out of his team’s playoff race in 2025. He stressed that now is the time to plan for the next season. During the toss before the league match against Rajasthan Royals (RR) at Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium, Dhoni said that the team has focused on experimentation and future preparations after the playoff expectations were over.
Dhoni said, “Once we got out of the tournament, our focus was on looking for answers for next year. We are trying to play openly in our batting department. We need to understand which player can do better in which slot.”
The great captain also pointed to the weaknesses of the team. He said, “We need to work on our bowling, when you are under constant pressure, things do not work. There is no need to play all kinds of shots, it is necessary to be selective.”
In addition, he said, “There is no pressure on the franchise. We have to focus on combination and auction.”
Meanwhile, Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson won the toss and decided to bowl first. Samson said, “No one can hide in this game. Everyone has to become a match winner.” The goal of Rajasthan Royals is to conclude the season with a spectacular victory.
