Delhi: Former Pakistan captain Mohammad Hafeez on Sunday criticized his team’s three fast bowlers Shaheen Afridi, Nasim Shah and Haris Rauf after a poor performance against arch -rivals India in Dubai. During an event, Hafeez expressed disappointment and said that all three have performed poorly after the 2023 Asia Cup.
Hafeez said that Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf have failed to perform well in the 2023 Asia Cup, ODI World Cup, T20 World Cup and now the Champions Trophy.
He said, “The time has come to accept that despite their talent, all three have not been able to win a big tournament to Pakistan. Now the time has come for us to go ahead and give other bowlers like Mohammad Ali, Khurram Shahzad, Mohammad Wasim Junior, Aqib Javed and Mir Hamza. ”
Hafeez said that these players are waiting for their opportunity, they are also Pakistani and are entitled to get a chance, they also have a Pakistani passport.
At the same time, while talking about Babar Azam, the former captain said that Babur has been playing for Pakistan for the last 10 years, but he could not win Pakistan in a single match against India.
He said that Babur should now be fed regularly at number three so that the middle order of the team is strong. Rizwan, Babur and Salman Ali can create good middle order for Aga team.
