Delhi: Rajasthan Royals (RR) has made Ryan Parag captain for the first three matches of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. This decision was taken because the regular captain of the team Sanju Samson is currently injured and will not be able to do wicketkeeping in the first three matches. However, he will play in all matches as a substitute-impact batsman.
Former Indian fast bowler Sreesanth, who was part of the title win of Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2008, appreciated the captaincy of Ryan Parag. He said that pollen will present the best example for the team with his captaincy.
Sreesanth praised pollen
Sreesanth said, “I have not seen him playing much, but I remember he captained his state team and performed well. He is constantly playing well in domestic cricket. However, Sanju Samson is not the captain at this time, but he will definitely help Parag. The team has many experienced players who will support him. Last year too, he had performed brilliantly and the team was involved in the team’s top scorers last year.”
Sreesanth further said, “When he was about to be out of the team, he made a spectacular comeback and made 500 runs. Due to this performance, he has been given the captaincy. It is a good message for young players that age and background do not matter, but your performance is the most important. No matter what difficulties you can, if you can make a strong return, you will get a chance today, so I will be the captain of Ryan Parag. I wish you all the best. “
Rajasthan Royals will start IPL 2025 on 23 March against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad.
