Delhi: Virat Kohli is considered to be the best batsman of today’s time, and cricket players all over the world believe this. He is often compared with the God of Cricket Sachin Tendulkar, while now other players are also compared with Kohli. One of these names is that of Babar Azam, while some people also often compare players like Steve Smith and Joe Root with Virat Kohli. Former Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Aamir has given his reaction on this comparison.

Speaking in a podcast, Aamir said, “Virat Kohli is the greatest player of this generation. When he is compared with Babar Azam, Steve Smith or Joe Root, I laugh. We cannot compare Virat Kohli with anyone because he has single-handedly won many matches for Team India, which does not seem possible for anyone else. He is excellent not just in one format but in all three formats.”

Aamir further said, “Virat Kohli’s work ethic makes him different from all other players. The way he bounced back after a poor tour of England in 2014 and performed consistently for the next 10 years is something not everyone can do. His wicket was very important for us in the 2017 Champions Trophy final. If we had not dismissed Virat, we would have lost the final, because his record in run chase is very excellent.”
