Delhi: The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is going to start from 19 February. India will launch its campaign against Bangladesh on 20 February. Prior to the Champions Trophy, India’s middle order batsman Shreyas Iyer has a regret.
78 runs scored in 64 balls
Iyer scored 78 off 64 balls at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, including eight fours and two sixes. He shared 104 runs for the third wicket with Shubman Gill (112) and 33 runs for the fourth wicket with KL Rahul (40). India scored 356 runs and defeated England by 142 runs. With this victory, India won the three-match ODI series 3–0.

Energy in team before champions trophy
Iyer said after the match that the victory of this series has given the Indian team a great rhythm for the Champions Trophy. He said, “There is passion and energy in the dressing room, every player is in great form and is ready for the Champions Trophy. Iyer further said, “In all three matches of the series, every player took responsibility for the team. It was important for us to take important runs and wickets at the right time. We have done a lot of work on this. “
Iyer also told, “I wish I could score a century. In the first match, I tried to give a rhythm to my team. I played every ball correctly. I was run out in the second match. But I got a chance to play after giving good start to Shubman and Virat. “
