Delhi: With the help of Alishan Sharafu and Hyder Ali’s magnificent performance, UAE made history by defeating Bangladesh 2–1 in the three T20 matches series. In the third and last match, UAE defeated Bangladesh by 7 wickets in Sharjah. The UAE won the series with this victory.
UAE created history
Bangladesh batting first gave a target of 163 runs. In response, UAE achieved this target by losing just three wickets in 19.1 overs. Earlier, UAE won the second T20 match by two wickets on Monday. This is the second T20 series win against a UAE’s full member team. Earlier in 2021, UAE also defeated Ireland 2–1.
At the beginning of the match, UAE’s left -arm spinner Haider Ali bowled amazing. He took 3 wickets for just 7 runs in 4 overs. With his brilliant bowling, Bangladesh’s team had lost 8 wickets for 84 runs. However, after this, Jaaker Ali and Hasan Mahmood handled the team. Jaaker scored the highest 41 runs. Tanjid Hasan scored 40 runs in 18 balls and Hasan Mahmood scored 26 not out in just 5 balls. Shoriful Islam also added 16 not out in 7 balls. Sagir Khan and Matillah Khan also took 2-2 wickets for the UAE.
Sharafu’s best fifty
The UAE started chasing the target of 163 runs. The biggest innings was played by Alishan Sharafu. The 22 -year -old batsman scored an unbeaten 68 in 47 balls. It consisted of 5 fours and 3 sixes. He shared an 87 -run partnership for the fourth wicket with Asif Khan. Asif scored an unbeaten 41 in 26 balls. UAE easily won the match thanks to the partnership of both.
Earlier, Mohammad Johab also played a useful innings of 29 runs in 23 balls. Bangladesh bowlers could not put pressure on the UAE batsmen and looked back in the entire match. With this victory, the UAE showed the world that they can beat any big team.
