Delhi: Another big challenge has emerged for the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), especially regarding the next season of Pakistan Super League (PSL) and its schedule. The schedule of PSL had to be changed due to the Champions Trophy to be held in Pakistan in 2025. This change is increasing problems for PCB and Pakistan is being criticized in the cricket world.

Former Indian coach troubled by Rohit’s “calm body language”, expressed disappointment

Change in schedule due to Champions Trophy

Actually, the Champions Trophy is to be held in Pakistan in February and March next year, while the PSL is played in these months every year. Therefore, PCB has had to postpone PSL to March and April, which may clash with the timing of IPL. During IPL, foreign players give preference to this tournament due to more money, which can make PSL difficult.

For this reason, the PSL franchise has been forced to take the decision of buying unsold players of IPL. Those players who did not find buyers in IPL will be included in PSL so that they do not leave the tournament midway and go to IPL. Earlier it was seen many times that players used to leave PSL midway for IPL, which caused disruption in the tournament.

Unsold players of IPL will play PSL

Recently in IPL, many big players like David Warner, Kane Williamson, Adil Rashid, Alex Carey remained unsold. Now PSL franchises are contacting to buy these players. PCB has started talks with the managers of these players to know whether these players are ready to play in PSL or not. These big names can help in making PSL even more exciting.
