This year has been great for Urvil Patel. Exactly a year ago, on 27 November 2023, he scored a century in 41 balls against Arunachal Pradesh in the Vijay Hazare Trophy in Chandigarh. This was the second fastest century by an Indian batsman in List-A cricket, after Yusuf Pathan’s century in 40 balls in 2009/10.

Who is Urvil Patel?

Urvil Patel was born on 17 October 1998 in Mehsana, Gujarat. He made his debut in T20 and List-A cricket for Baroda in 2017-18. However, before the 2018–19 Ranji Trophy season, he left Baroda and moved to Gujarat.

Have tried luck in IPL also

Gujarat Titans bought Urvil for Rs 20 lakh in the 2023 IPL auction. However, he remained unsold in the recently held IPL 2025 mega auction. His base price was Rs 30 lakh, but this innings of Urvil gives hope for his future in Indian cricket and he can become a big name in the coming days.
