Van Der Dusen and Klassen’s 50-year journey crossed South Africa’s Naiya: England lost by 7 wickets

Delhi: In the ongoing Champions Trophy tournament in Dubai, South Africa defeated England by 7 wickets to win a stunning victory and confirmed their place in the semi -finals. England, batting first, lost all the wickets by scoring 179 runs in 38.2 overs. Subsequently, South Africa scored 181 runs for 3 wickets in 29.1 overs and won the match.

England’s struggle performance

England won the toss and decided to bat first, but their start was weak. England batsmen were seen struggling from the beginning and continuously lost wickets. Phil Soult (8), Ben Docket (24), Joe Root (37), and Harry Brooke (19) stayed for a while, but the England team was reduced to 179 runs.

The bowlers of South Africa performed brilliantly, including Marco Jansen and Lungi Engidi. Jansen took 3 wickets, while Ngidi and Keshav Maharaj also took wickets at the crucial time. The England team continued to struggle till the last, but the bowling of South Africa killed the entire England team.

Ricelton scored 25 runs, but Rassey van Dar Dusen (72 runs) and Heinrich Klassen (64 runs) batted brilliantly and won the team.

Van Dar Dusen and Klassen together faced the England bowlers well and turned the match towards South Africa. Both of them placed the team in the semi -finals with their half -century innings.
