Delhi: There is only a short time left for the start of Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024/25. Apart from India and Australia, former cricketers from other countries are also eyeing this series. Former England captain Michael Vaughan has given a big reaction regarding Australia’s bowling attack. He believes that the Australian pace trio is more experienced and stronger than the Indian fast bowlers.

‘Why are you not coming to Pakistan?’, Suryakumar Yadav gave a befitting reply to fan’s question

Vaughan praised pacers Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood and spinner Nathan Lyon. He called it Australia’s best bowling lineup ever. According to Vaughan, there will be an exciting fast bowling match between the two teams in the Perth Test.

The former English captain also said that except for Jasprit Bumrah, the Indian fast bowling is a bit inexperienced. Mohammed Siraj is trying to regain his old form, while Harshit Rana, Nitish Kumar Reddy and Prasidh Krishna have limited experience of red ball cricket. However, these players have proved their skills in domestic cricket and IPL.

Vaughan compared with former greats

Among Australian bowlers, Lyon has 530 wickets, Starc has 358, Hazlewood has 273 and Cummins has 269 wickets. Vaughan said that Australia’s current quartet is equal to Shane Warne, Glenn McGrath, Brett Lee and Jason Gillespie.

Apart from this, Michael described the Trophy as the best series of current times and said that it will be worth seeing how the batsmen play on bouncy pitches.
