Earlier, Javed was the interim coach of white ball cricket and now he will fulfill this responsibility in red ball cricket also.
In the upcoming series, Pakistan team will play two test matches against South Africa from December 26 under the captaincy of Shan Masood. Confirming this, PCB announced the appointment of Aaqib Javed.
It is noteworthy that Gary Kirsten had also resigned from the post of coach before the Australia, Zimbabwe and South Africa series.
