If this incident proves to be true, then it will be a day before the match between India and Pakistan. Meanwhile, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has also taken cognizance of a security lapse. The lapse occurred during the match of New Zealand and Bangladesh at the Rawalpindi Stadium, when an audience broke the security circle and entered the ground.
PCB said in its statement that the safety of players and officials is their first priority. The board has approached local security agencies, who have assured to further strengthen security measures.
The person involved in this incident has been arrested. He has been produced in court and a life ban has been imposed, so that he will no longer be able to enter any cricket stadium in Pakistan. PCB is working on further strategy with security agencies to prevent such incidents again.
