Delhi: On Monday, a video went viral, in which Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) owner Sanjeev Goenka was seen getting angry with the team’s balcony after Rishabh Pant was dismissed against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). This incident happened during the 12th over of LSG’s innings at Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.
Pant was dismissed for only 7 runs. He tried to play Ishaan Malinga’s full length ball, but the ball jumped into the air and the bowler caught a brilliant catch by diving on the left side.

Pant’s poor form has been a matter of concern for LSG this season. He has scored just 135 runs in 12 matches so far, and his average has been only 12.27. In such a situation, when the team is in the race for playoffs, their poor performance is proving to be a big setback for the team.
Goenka’s displeasure was clearly visible in the viral video, when he left the balcony of the team fast as soon as Pant was out. This video became increasingly viral on social media and the reactions of the fans also started coming out.
Earlier, SRH captain Pat Cummins won the toss and decided to bowl first, where the Hyderabad team has already been out of the playoff race, while the LSG is in dire need of winning all their remaining matches and improving the net run rate. They are competing with Mumbai Indians (Mi) and Delhi Capitals (DC) for the last playoff location.
Cummins admitted that his team could not live up to expectations this season. At the same time, LSG captain Pant said that the team is focusing on a match at one time and is avoiding thinking more.
