Gavaskar met Kambli during the 50th anniversary of the Wankhede Stadium. Gavaskar also met his two doctors. Kambli has been struggling with alcohol addiction for a long time. After hospitalization, clots were found in his brain. A few months ago, Kambli spoke to the media and appealed to the people to stay away from alcohol and narcotics and said that bad habits can ruin anyone’s life. A video of Kambli became very viral, when he appeared extremely weak during the event organized in Mumbai in the memory of coach Ramakant Achrekar. He was having trouble standing on his feet.
