Delhi: The Cricket Board of India (BCCI) implemented a new rule after the defeat in the Test series on the tour of Australia, under which the duration of the players carrying the families on foreign tours was limited. Many players reacted to this decision, in which the most prominent voice was Virat Kohli.
In an event in Royal Challengers Bangalore, Kohli openly said that staying with the family is mentally beneficial for the players. After his remarks, the BCCI indicated that it could change this rule.
BCCI Secretary’s response
Now, BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia said in a conversation with Cricbuzz, “This policy was not made in a hurry.
He further said, “We believe that some people are not happy with this policy and their opinion may be different.
Now it has to be seen whether the board changes this policy or continues it even further.
