Delhi: Australian captain Pat Cummins has praised Indian batsman Virat Kohli. He said that Kohli brings theater to cricket and if this was his last Test in Australia, it would be very sad. Cummins described Kohli as an excellent opponent, even though his performance in the five-Test series this time was not special.

Kohli’s Australia tour was bad

Kohli had scored a century in the second innings of the first match of the series, but after that he could not get into the rhythm. Australian fast bowlers got him out in the slips again and again. In this five-match series, Kohli was caught out in the slips eight times.

Cummins praised

Talking about the fact that this tour could be Kohli’s last in Australia, Pat Cummins said, “Virat has made cricket special. He has scored a lot of runs and brings excitement on the field. “Sometimes it feels good, and sometimes it makes the opposing team a little nervous, which is probably what they want.”

He further said, “I have enjoyed playing with him. He has been one of the best batsmen of the last decade. If this was his last series, it would be sad.”

Australia won the series against India 3-1. Cummins is very happy with this victory. He said, “This is a big victory for us. In the series the balance sometimes tilted towards us and sometimes towards them. “The 3-1 margin makes us feel good.”

Now Australia will play the final of the World Test Championship against South Africa at Lord’s in June.
