Delhi: After scoring a century in the first match of the India vs Australia series, Virat Kohli was once again out in his old style in the first innings of the second match. The veteran batsman has often been seen struggling on balls outside the off stump.

Sanjay Manjrekar raised questions

Former Indian cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar has raised questions on Virat Kohli’s habit of struggling with balls outside the off stump. Manjrekar says that Kohli has not found any way to overcome this weakness. The former cricketer said, “Virat’s average has now come to 48. A major reason for this is his weakness outside the off-stump, but more than that, he is not willing to change his methods to overcome it.”

Out like this for the seventh time in six months

On Mitchell Starc’s ball, which was short-of-length outside the off stump, Kohli tried to play a shot and was caught by Steve Smith standing at second slip. In this innings, the batsman scored 7 runs in 8 balls, in which he hit one four. This was his seventh such wicket against pace bowling in the last six months.

Such mistakes are creating problems not only for Kohli but also for Team India. Kohli needs to work on this technical weakness quickly, so that he can get back to his excellent performance levels.
