Delhi: Rajasthan Royals (RR) young batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored the second fastest century in IPL history in the Indian Premier League (2025) match against Gujarat Titans (GT) on Monday. Just 14 -year -old Suryavanshi completed his century in just 35 balls. He achieved this feat by hitting a six off the ball of veteran leg -spinner Rashid Khan. This is now the fastest century made by an Indian batsman in the IPL.
Suryavanshi has also become the youngest player to score a century in IPL. He has achieved this achievement at the age of only 14 years and 32 days.
In the tournament, only Chris Gayle (30 balls) has scored a fast century with Suryavanshi. However, later Suryavanshi was bowled by the famous Krishna’s yorker ball, he scored 101 runs in 38 balls.

Under-19 achievements: In 2024, he scored 104 runs in 58 balls against Australia Under-19 and scored a century in professional cricket. Scored 176 runs in the Under-19 Asia Cup.
IPL auction: In 2025, Rajasthan Royals bought him for Rs 1.10 crore.
Significantly, Vaibhav is the father of Suryavanshi, Sanjeev Suryavanshi, a farmer, who sold his land to realize the dreams of his son’s cricket career.
