Kamindu Mendis of Sri Lanka has created a lot of ruckus in the cricket world in the last one year. He has especially wreaked havoc in Test cricket. Mendis recently became the second fastest batsman to complete 1,000 Test runs. He did this feat in just 13 innings. Gaul -born Kamindu Mendis made his T20 format debut in 2018 for Sri Lanka. But he got fame due to his incredible batting in Test cricket last year. In 2019, Kamindu made his ODI debut in 2022.

Mendis has so far played 10 Tests, 17 ODIs and 23 T20 matches for Sri Lanka. In the Test, Kamindu has scored 1110, 344 in ODIs and 381 runs in T20. Mendis is also a part time bowler. He is a spinner and can bowl with both hands.
