Delhi: The last match of the 3-match ODI series was played between West Indies and Bangladesh on 12 December, in which West Indies won by 4 wickets and won the series 3-0. In this match, 27 year old West Indies wicketkeeper batsman Aamir Jangu made his ODI debut and created history by scoring a brilliant century.

Created history by scoring a century on debut

Aamir Jangu holds the record of scoring the fastest century on ODI debut in the debut match. He completed his century in 80 balls and remained unbeaten till the end. Jangu scored 104 runs in 83 balls batting at a strike rate of 125. During this, he also hit 6 fours and 4 sixes.

Jangu became the 18th player to score a century on debut

Apart from this, Aamir Jangu is the second West Indies player to score a century on ODI debut. Earlier, Desmond Haynes had scored a century while making his debut against Australia in the year 1978. He had scored 148 runs on 136 balls. Aamir Jangu has become the 18th player in cricket history to score a century on ODI debut.
